What is Carpedia College?

Carpedia College offers an intensive two-day indoctrination of the principles and techniques that Carpedia employs on its projects called Sustainable Profit Improvement (SPI). SPI is designed to provide your managers with the understanding, skills and tools required to generate sustainable results in your business operation. The college is designed as a case study which requires pre-work, classroom style presentations, group work, and a formal presentation. During actual projects, Client managers receive training similar to what is being presented in the SPI program (although the training is spread over a ten week period). SPI is designed to deepen the understanding or refresh those who experienced the initial training, as well as introduce the key principles to those managers hired or promoted after the original project was completed.

Learning Objectives

The SPI program is intended to provide managers with the training and coaching to enable them to:

• Identify the key financial and operational drivers of profit in
  order to focus improvement effort
• Objectively map, critique and improve a management operating system
• Objectively map, critique and improve a business process
• Assess and model management behaviors

The college is designed to take managers and executives out of their environment and learn key concepts of SPI. By using a case study which the business is one where most clients do not completely understand allows them to learn while drawing parallels to their business and apply the methodology.
